"On Tuesday the Texas Fence crew arrived at 9:00AM. There were 3 workers with a truck load of supplies to replace my 25 year old fence. They starterd work right away and removed the old fence. Then they started on the new fence. It was raining hard for part of the time and they contionue to work through the rain. My fence was 160' long and they built 2 gates on location. Since my pickets were to be 6', they had to trim each one down. By 4:30 they finished the job, loaded up the old fence and picked up all the scraps. Since I live in the Woodlands they had to follow a certain method when putting up some parts of the fence. They never stopped working and I really like the results of their efforts. "Texas Fence replaced an old fence in my property. I am fully satisfied with their job. They have great customer service persons (Tammy and Ashley), who followed and coordinated all the necessary details to carry the project, from beginning to end, including charging my credit card and providing detailed receipts. I greatly appreciate her attention to details; she followed promptly through courtesy phone calls and by email. I chose them because my neighbor recommended to me after comparing websites and quotes. So I started with their website; I was contacted within 1 day; their contractors followed to coordinate an assessment, and they came within 1 day to take measurements and give an estimate. I requested detailed prices to share with 2 neighbors for common areas; I added 1 door to the existing ones, and requested the highest quality for a wooden fence. They came the day they agreed to come, torn down the old fence and replaced it with a brand new, nice looking fence, completing the job in 2 days. All the 4 installed gates work very smoothly and accurately. I thank them for doing a highly professional job. Keep up. "I found Tammy in the office to be exceptional. I probably asked for 4-5 different bids over the period of a couple of months and she was always gracious and timely. She also kept me very informed about scheduling. As the other poster mentioned, they do prefer to have a deposit check mailed, but we had such a short turn around time that she arranged for someone to pick up the check from my home the DAY BEFORE the job was to start. The price was absolutely the best I found anywhere. And I got a lot of bids. In fact, the price was SO much better I was worried that the quality wouldn't be good ... but not the case. I did call for references and the ones I got were glowing. The workers on the site did a great job. Vicki and her team were fantastic, even when faced with a few challenges. The fence is beautiful. The only complaint I have is that a project manager called me at the end of day 1 and recommended some changes to the build. But when I got home the next day, those agreed upon changes weren't implemented. Turns out the project manager "forgot" to tell the crew about any of the changes. I wasn't very happy about that (which is why I rated professionalism a "B")... but the crew was following the plan I had signed with Tammy - so I really couldn't fault them. After several phone calls from another project manager and from Tammy (who gave me her personal numbers as well), we all compromised on how to finish the job. They stayed until 10:30 pm to finish the job the night before Christmas Eve so that I would have a fence for the holidays. I'd say that's real commitment. "Oh my goodness, the rep from the SDC referral was amazingly knowledgeable. Does this work every day! Company has done hundreds of gate moves and has a process. Just talking with him, he seemed head and shoulders above the two GC's I have dealt with to date. (Both of whom were extremely nice guys.) "The work crews you sent out to do do our fence are certainly the best in the state. They hit the ground running, unloaded their materials, and had the entire job completed before dark.
